Receive a cordial greeting on behalf of CLADEA. This is to inform you that this year, during the Ordinary Assembly of Members, which will take place on October 26, 2022 at 09:00 a.m., in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, the voting process and election of the Elected President and (03) positions within the Directive Committee of CLADEA for the following 3 years will take place. This election will be held only in person and only those members who are up to date with their annual membership fees may participate.
About the Steering Committee
As indicated in our statute, article 43, this year of the three (03) positions to be elected, two (02) positions must be representatives of Latin America and one (01) from a country outside of Latin America.
In the case of Latin America, the following countries will not be able to participate: Uruguay and Mexico, who end their participation this year in the Comittee. In the same way, the following countries will not be able to nominate candidates: Costa Rica and Argentina, since there are currently members in the Directive Committee of said countries.
Likewise, (01) a member outside of Latin America is elected, and Puerto Rico cannot be re-elected, due to the end of its term. Nor, representatives of Spain, for currently occupying the second place in this category.
About the President Elect
According to article 39, the Elected President will be elected, who will participate in the Directive Committee the first year and will assume the presidency the following two years. Only Members with the category of Full Members and with at least 3 years of seniority may participate in this position, and a member from Ecuador cannot be elected, as indicated in the Statute.
In this sense, we invite institutions with the category of Full Member to present candidates. They must send the following documents to:

A. Curriculum vitae of the applicant,
B. Motivation letter of the applicant,
C. Three (3) letters of recommendation from CLADEA members in the Full and/or Associate categories.
